Today’s Fxshnjunke Spotlight features 20 year old DMV native Nicole aka :”Christina Cole” . Currently in her junior year at Towson University and a Youtuber where she specializes in hair tutorials, tips and more.
Fun Fact: I met Nicole back in elementary school and we were both in the Before and After Care program 🙂 – Dasia
Dasia:   Tell me something about yourself:

Nicole: Some characteristics that describe me are: spontaneous, goofball, entrepreneurial, and a foodie. I love food! I love traveling, and I love learning. As geeky as that sounds I like learning how to do new things that visually appeal to me. I am a junior at Towson University studying Psychology and Marketing. And “I’m Happy To Be Here” – what most people say when introducing themselves at a new job lol.

Dasia: What inspired you to start doing hair ?

Nicole: Definitely my mother. She taught me how to braid when i was growing up. When she would braiding my hair when I was younger I would braid my infamous BRATZ Dolls hair. Even one time in middle school I cut 3 inches of my hair off thinking I knew what I was doing. BIG MISTAKE. My mom was so mad, but that moment made me want to be better and really take doing hair seriously.
Dasia: How long have you been doing hair ?

Nicole: I have been doing hair since high school. I started on my friends and just continued to improve. When it came to the point in choosing between cosmetology and culinary my stomach spoke louder. I really regret this. But at least now I know how to make crabbed stuffed fish and baked Alaska.

Dasia: What kind of hair do you prefer virgin hair, crotchet, or braids ?

Nicole: Personally I LOVE virgin hair.#Bundles for life. I am not personally big on natural hair styles on my own head, but I live for the wigs and virgin hair life. But I have a lot of clients that have natural hair and prefer protective styles, which I enjoy doing.

Dasia: What are some hair care tips you can give anyone who needs helps keeping their hair healthy?

Nicole: Moisturize! The worst thing is having dry brittle hair. Find a hair care regime that works for you and stick to it. Its best to have a winter routine and a summer routine.

Dasia: What motivated you to start your Youtube Channel ?

Nicole: I have been watching youtube faithfully since I my freshman year in high school. I looked up to the beautiful women in youtube because they were about to teach and inspire others all over the world. I also used youtube as my search engine. When ever I need to learn how to do something I would go to Youtube. I want to teach, inspire and connect with people from all over. This is what really motivated me.

Dasia: Your most poppin video is your Crotchet Feed In Braid video with over 300Kviews, what was your reaction seeing that many views on one of your videos ?

Nicole: As odd as it sounds I knew it was going to be popping. I literally had a dream about me doing that hair style and did it the next day. Now almost at half a million views and thousands of subbies later I feel like I can really put more of my passion into youtube.

Dasia: What are some of your goals for 2017?

Nicole: Some of my goals for 2017 would be to grow my brand with youtube as well as improving my hair and makeup skills. There is always room for learning and improvement. Grow my bank account, drink more water and have health glowing skin – these of which I feel like should be everyone’s goals.

Dasia: Have you ever heard of or seen Fxshnjunke before ?

Nicole: YESS! Girl you know we go back to Clinton Grove days. You were always stylish and I remember you and your little brother. We had so much fun in before and after care.
Dasia: Yesss girl we go way back ! I miss those days so much in B+A ( before and after care) , Where do you see yourself in the next five years ?

Nicole: In the next five years I still see myself grinding to become better, I will be a licensed cosmetologist, and my brand will have expanded. I will have graduated and will be on someones beach drinking sangria.

Let’s take an inside look at a cute and affordable Toronto based online store ” Baditude The Label” . We caught up with 24 year old owner Kristen Jessica on how she started her own business and where she sees Badtitude in the future.

Dasia: Tell me a little bit more about yourself?

Kristen: Well my name is Kristen Jessica and I’m a Fashion Design Graduate. I’ve always had an interest for creating my own clothes and accessories ever since the second grade. I started to take it more seriously after high school and received my Diploma in Fashion Design in 2013. Since then I’ve been involved in many fashion shows and featured in Flare Magazine.

Dasia: What inspired you to start your own business?

Kristen: In addition to my fashion background, I’ve always wanted to gain more knowledge on the business side of fashion. So throughout years I’ve created a small business venture such as Baditude to gain hands on experience.

Dasia: How long has it been since launching?

Kristen: I launched Baditude in March of 2016 so it’s been almost year since we’ve been in business.

Dasia: How did you come up with the name Baditude The Label?

Kristen: I’ve always had a thing for combining words and creating meanings for them. Baditude was formed by combining “Baddie” and “Attitude” together. Hence our slogan: “It’s always a good day to be a Baddie with an Attitude”.

Dasia: For new customers that are shopping, what kind of products can they expect to see?

Kristen: As any designer who wants to run a successful business, many of my product ideas are derived from my target customers interest. If you follow me on social media, you’ll see that I run many polls on clothing and accessories. I ask my followers which item they would prefer which gives me insight of what products I should create and stock for my store.

( Above: Customers in Baditude products, @vicmram, @sleeepyzee, @gemmabarrettmua @poeticdrugs )

Dasia: What/who are some of your inspirations?

Kristen: Most of my inspiration comes from businesses who are similar to me and are very successful. It helps a lot to make connections with them and ask them for their advice on running a business.

Dasia: What are some of the obstacles that you’ve faced when starting your business?

Kristen: Everyday is a learning experience. I come across many situations that I never thought I would have to deal with but I always come up a solution that not only satisfies my customer but also protect my business. The most common obstacle I face always involves shipping issues. Many customers expect for you to have the same shipping standards of bigger companies. However, small businesses are usually only operated by the business owner and/or a small team. When you receive an influx of orders after a huge sale or around the holiday season, it can be difficult to keep up. I find that as long as I communicate regularly with my customers, for the most part they’ll be understanding.

Dasia: What is the message Baditude wants their customers to know?

Kristen: When you purchase from a small business, you’re not only receiving an amazing product but you’re helping to bring someone’s vision and dream to life. Although Baditude has been very successful, I intend on using the funds I gained from this business venture to create a larger fashion empire.

Dasia: What can customers expect from Baditude this year?

Kristen: To be honest, I didn’t think Baditude would last this long because when I started it was more of a small project to sell trendy dad hats. I quickly realized that it could be so much more. Many of my customers are between the age of 16-23 and are looking for accessories that they can afford on a budget. So I plan to keep providing trendy accessories at an affordable price.

Dasia: Have you ever heard of Fxshjunke before ? If not what are your thoughts?

Kristen: Yes, in fact one of my friends, Jalen Nelson/Lick My Fashion, was featured before. So I was extremely honored when you reached out to have my business featured 🙂

Dasia: Yess I love Jalen ! ( Check out Jalen’s interview here ). Aside from that ,. What are some of your own personal goals for this year?

Kristen: As I mentioned earlier, I started Baditude The Label as a learning venture. So I plan to use my experience as a stepping stone towards having a bigger brand and platform in the fashion industry.

Dasia: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Kristen: I usually don’t plan that far ahead as a lot can change in that time but I do hope to see myself fully self-employed and designing for a larger clientele.

Today’s Fxshnjunke Spotlight features a girl boss who loves God and self-development . 21 year old Philly native Ms.Britney M  is a Youtuber, blogger and entrepreneur who is  an example of having her hands in so many things such as her  group “Sister In Christ” , sunglass line “Skyline Frames” and new hair business “My Hair Dealer” along while still maintaining a regular 9-5 job . Dasia had the opportunity to link up with Britney to hear her story about moving from Philly to Atlanta and starting her businesses.

Dasia: Your so inspirational to a lot of young woman including myself. I think I noticed one of your videos when you were at 6K subbies and to see how much you’ve grown to almost 20K is BOMB! ! So let’s go back for minute, Moving all the way from Philly to ATL ,How did you feel about moving down south ?

Britney: I found out I was moving down south a week before I graduated high school and I hated the thought of it. I was so angry at my parents I felt like they were being selfish. I thought I had my life all planned out and obviously God just had different plans for me and my family. The transition was extremely hard, I cried a lot. I tried to figure out ways to stay back home but honestly moving down South has been the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m happy that we did move, I’m able to see a different way of living. I can explore the world , I can say that I’ve lived up north and I’ve lived down south so my network has grown. I’ve met so many different cultures and people.

Dasia: Once you got to ATL is pretty much when you started your Youtube Channel and blog Ms.BritneyM , Talk to me about that , What inspired you to start a Youtube channel  and your blog ?

Britney:  Once I moved down south in the beginning I didn’t have any friends or a job I was literally starting over and so my blog and my YouTube channel was just a way to stay busy. It was too late for me to start school so I had to sit out a semester so during that time that’s when I started my YouTube channel that’s when I started blogging and then I actually found my pastor’s wife’s blog Heather Lindsay and so I just started to research different bloggers and different YouTubers I spent a lot of my time online when I first move down south and so that’s what started my own blog and YouTube channel.

Dasia: What do you think keeps you motivated everyday ?

Britney: The one thing that keeps me motivated everyday is my list of goals and so I live by this quote that Life is about a list of goals you check off daily”. So I have accomplishments in my head that I definitely want to check off of my list of goals for my own life so that keeps me motivated each and every day always focusing on the bigger picture.

Dasia: You started a sunglass business called Skyline Frames , talk to me about how you started Skyline Frames . What inspired you to become a entrepreneur?

Britney: I’m a marketing & advertising major, Skyline frames was actually a marketing plan that I did for a final project. At the time I was working at Nordstrom for about a year and one day we had this huge party at my job and the CEO of Nordstrom came and he explained to us that the store was closing down. Some of us would be able to get transferred and then the rest of us will kind of just have to figure it out and so I just decided to use my very last check to start Skyline frames and I just use my marketing plan template for my business and it’s been striving ever since.

Dasia: Wow that’s crazy !  You’ve started so many businesses on your own which were gonna talk about , especially because you mentioned in some of your vlogs that some of these are completely out of your field, what advice can you give to anyone who wants to starts so many businesses but are afraid because its not their specialty ?

Britney: Sometimes you just have to bank on yourself I learned most of what I know reading books and studying other entrepreneurs so in order to run a successful business you have to study other successful businesses.  Also always remember that if you can’t do something you can always hire someone else to do what you can’t do.

Dasia: I love how open you are when you talk about alot of your personal experiences regarding things such as relationships, financial advice, friendships and more. Me also being 21 and an aspiring entrepreneur its not easy, What obstacles have you faced other than you losing your employment at Nordstorm ?

Britney: Starting your own business is hard and I feel like social media makes everything seem so easy my very first customer I messed up her order and I sent her the wrong product. I’m always dealing with new customers who want you to go above and beyond. Mistakes happen and me running my own business shipping out products running my own customer service it’s a lot. So making sure your business is legal and it’s registered it’s a lot to keep up. Making sure you’re still taking care of customer service and then being in charge of the marketing then making sure you have enough product saving as much money as possible on your product it’s a lot learning the cheapest way to ship out inventory I mean it’s just a lot to study and it’s a lot to master but it’s not impossible. The hardest obstacle was keeping up with the legal things its more than an online store I want my businesses to pay taxes and make my kids money one day.

Dasia: You are also the creator of Sisters of Christ , and you just released the official app for it, Congrats ! For anyone who doesn’t know what Sister of Christ, What made you create this movement ?

Britney: In the beginning I didn’t really have a group of girls close to my age or even a group of males close to my age with the same type of relationship or as passion about their religion around me. So I really wanted to create some type of group where young Christians could all gather and connect and motivate each other and keep each other accountable and talk about things like religion, being saved while young or even having to compromise. At first I really wanted to make a blog but I decided to create an app that way we can have a group chat where you can talk to young Christians all over the world and you guys can connect together and just vent to each other and so I decided to make it just for girls because I notice as a female being young being saved and then also being a millennial it’s extremely hard and so it’s hard to have that balance sometimes you feel like you have to compromise when it comes to your life so I just wanted a group of girls to be able to connect and I understand about that compromise in life that we sometimes feel like we have to meet.

Dasia: Now lets talk about My Hair Dealer which is your hairline company , what kind of hair do you sell ?

Britney : My hair company kind of just fell into my lap so I got this opportunity to run my own business and be the face of my own hair company without having to worry about shipping and inventory so I thought it was such a great idea and I jumped on it so we sell Brazilian and Malaysian hair we also sell frontals and closures that I’m absolutely obsessed with that I’m able to share on my YouTube channel

Dasia: What was your thoughts about even starting a hair company ?

Britney: At first I didn’t really want to start the company because I’m in Atlanta everyone has their own hair company but at the same time I have my own brand and so I’m personally extremely cheap I’m really big on budgeting and saving money so I figured why not offer a product that I know girls will love girls would use most importantly and they will save money so it just made sense for me.

Dasia: Let’s talk about how your couple Youtube channel with your boyfriend Bry, is growing so rapidly. How did Bry feel about starting a Youtube channel at first ?

Britney: Honestly Brian has been wanting to start a YouTube channel since I met him he started to look at other YouTube couples and he always felt like we were funnier or we were more entertaining and I was completely against it since I already had my own YouTube channel and so I started to include him in my videos on my channel and I noticed that every time he’s in a video we get higher views. So I finally gave in and decided to start a YouTube channel with him and we have hit over 20,000 subscribers in 4 weeks we’ve made a lot of money so far and the love has been incredible we’ve officially passed the numbers on my own YouTube channel sometimes it’s bittersweet but I’m just so excited to be able to have a business with a person I plan on building a future with and it’s just important that we stick to the love and build other streams of income aside from our career.

Dasia: What can we expect from all of your businesses in 2017 ?

Britney: In 2017 I’m just focused on producing good content that’s all I want to do for the new year I don’t really want any new businesses I just want to keep growing and bettering the businesses I’m already trying to manage now so stay tuned for more Sisters in Christ more Skyline frames sales, more YouTube videos and more sales on my hairdealer.com

Dasia: Have you heard of Fxshnjunke before ? If not, what are your thoughts ?

Britney: I have heard of the blog before and I actually really like how many young Millennials are featured on the blog that’s my favorite part I spend a lot of my time looking at interviews and reading interviews just learning from different entrepreneurs so the blog is a great resource for the type of contents that I’m interested in love the blog

Dasia: Thanks so much love ! Last question before we go , Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years ?

Britney: In 5 years I will be 26 I just see myself financially free, with my college degree still managing multiple businesses having different streams of income, married with a huge house happy and closer to God than I’ve ever been honestly.

Today’s Fxshnjunke Spotlight gets an inside look at a dope brand by the name of “Sweats By Stew” . We had a chance to link up with the 27 year old owner,  Chi – town native Brittany Stewart aka”STEW” on how she started her clothing line from the ground up.  In this interview Stew gives us her story on how she went from quitting her job in Houston to moving back home and becoming a full time entrepreneur.
Dasia: I noticed your brand via Twitter and I seen how many retweets you get from not only your customers wearing your brand but the inspirational FACTS you tweet and I loooove it lol . Walk me through your journey on how Sweats by Stew came along .
Brittany: Sweats By Stew came along roughly two and a half years ago but it’s been a thought since I was in college. (When I knew I wanted to create a clothing line) At the time I was working at F21 as a Visual Manager in the galleria Of Houston, I loved my job but I just knew I was worth way more. I took a random trip to Chicago to visit my family cause of course that’s where I from. I basically quit my job and didn’t go back to Houston. I stayed in Chicago for a few months and I started to come up with a plan. A plan to start this clothing line, I didn’t have a name YET or knew where to start. I begin to sketch every day, sweats suits. They were original and different then other clothing lines. So finally I came up with SWEATS BY STEW, I probably had a good $200 to my name. I ended up getting my logo done for free. With the rest of the money I got chains and started selling them for extra money. In the midst of this I went back to Houston and I found a seamstress. The seamstress would sew my first sweat suits. I had deleted my Instagram for about a year or so. My first post on my new Instagram was my logo and the date I would debut “Sweats By Stew” it’s still there and sometimes when I wanna give up I scroll all the way down my IG to see how far I’ve come!
Dasia: How has it been since starting Sweats By Stew? What do you think keeps you motivated everyday ?
Brittany: Its been a roller coaster since starting sweats by stew. Overall I wouldn’t trade the sacrifices for nothing in the world! Failure keeps me motivated every day, I’m so

scared to lose or be forgotten about so I work overtime to stay relevant!

Dasia: What was your reaction seeing people wearing your brand for the first time ?
Brittany: I wasn’t surprised seeing people wear my brand. I’m not trying to be cocky but I knew people would like it cause its relatable and different. But the more people started supporting me, the more passionate I became! It’s like it gives you a rush!
Dasia: What inspires your designs ?
Brittany: Everything inspires my designs, holidays, other fashion designers, I may be passing by something and randomly get an idea, I then put it in my notes and bring it to life
Dasia: What is the best selling product that your customers seem to like the most ?
Brittany : My best selling product is my classic “Zero Fucks Given” tee in men and women
I work extremely hard to maintain my business, I quit a full time great paying job to live out my dreams and passion, I haven’t looked back since! – Brittany
Dasia: What is some advice you can give anyone who wants to start their own clothing brand ?
Brittany: Some advice I would give someone who wants to start their own clothing line is to do more and talk less. Be original and persistent! Never do it for
the money, if you want to make money get a job but if you truly love fashion start a brand!
Dasia: Name 3 celebrities you want to see in your brand?
Brittany: 3 celebs will be Teyana Taylor, Young Thug & Cassie
Dasia: What are some of your favorite trends for winter 2017 ?
Brittany: Fav trends net tights, fur shaw, trousers, velour and over sized anything
Dasia: Favorite brand/ places to shop for both shoes and clothes.
Brittany: My fav places to shop are Zara, the Gap, Urban Outfitters and Saks for shoes lol
Dasia: Have you heard of Fxshnjunke before? If not , what are your thoughts.
Brittany: I haven’t heard of it before but I went and did my research and I think it’s really cool and a great way to enlighten people on small brands on the come up
Dasia: What can your customers expect from you and your brand in 2017 ?
Brittany: My customers can expect nonstop releases and originality in 2017. More men’s clothes are coming and I’ll be bringing sweats back
Dasia: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years ?
Brittany: In 5 years I see myself with a store, degree and Sweats By Stew will carry babies, kids, women’s and men’s ! A host of accessories and I want to design a handbag/luggage!

In Today’s Fxshnjunke Spotlight, we caught up with this young model from the Bay Area who we see almost half of her pictures on the explore page so we had to hit her up so we can get to know her a little bit more . Our girl Aerin Creer talks with us about how her modeling career started, one of her secret places to shop and how she deals with the hate !

 I love painting. – Aerin

Dasia: I see you all over IG girl lol ! Why do you think there’s 100K + people so interested in following your journey?

Aerin: I’m not entirely sure why people follow me but I definitely think it’s cool. I guess they just like seeming something outside the norm trying to model? Maybe they like the way I dress.

Dasia: How long have you been modeling ?

Aerin: All my life I’ve been modeling but I recently started taking modeling seriously as my career in the second half of 2016.

Dasia: What do you to like about modeling ?

Aerin: I like helping people take their abstract ideas and turning them into something tangible. As a model you’re living art.

Dasia: What do you think you are most known for ?

Aerin: Hmm, that’s a good question. I never thought about it. Maybe I’m most known for that pink hair I had, or even those twists I had in June of 2016.

Dasia: Omg you just graduated congrats ! What are your plans for 2017 ?

Aerin: I have lots of plans but sometimes I think you can jinx them if you speak to openly about them. Just know I have some big projects and collaborations in store.

Dasia: You have been apart of many collaborations with so many brands, which one is your favorite ?

Aerin: I still love DollsKill to this day. Infinite SF is always fun too!

Dasia: Do you ever think that you will create your own brand apparel ?

Aerin: Maybe once I’m more established. While collaborating with companies I’ve learned that creating your own, unique, and innovative designs is no simple feature and requires 100% dedication.

Dasia: Your style is so bomb! and I love seeing you serve looks. How would you describe your style  ?

Aerin: My style is all over the place –haha. I have no idea how I would describe it. One day you’ll see me in a pink fur jacket and the next day I’ll look like someone’s little brother with a huge baggy look.

Dasia: Where are your go to places to shop ?

Aerin: I can’t tell all the secrets now can I? I’ll say one. I get all my street wear from Infinite SF. Expensive but worth it.

Dasia: If you could model for any brand who would it be ?

Aerin: I love the way Target curates all their ads so I’d love to be apart of that, believe it or not. I love Target. Unif is also on my list!

Dasia: Girl what ! Target is my STORE ! lol . So of course there’s is going to be haters everywhere you go, how do you deal with negativity ?

Aerin: I don’t deal with negativity. I’m a blockerista and I typically just block people before they get a chance to bother me. Their opinion of me isn’t my business so if it’s a bad one I’ll just block it so you can continue to talk and I won’t be bothered.

Dasia: Have you heard of Fxshnjunke before ? If not, what are your thoughts ?

Aerin: I was tagged in a few posts beforehand but never really looked into until now. The pages is put together really well. You all are so professional!

Dasia: Awe thanks love ! Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years ?

Aerin: I see myself happy. Wherever that may take me is unknown. I hope I’m still happy with my career in 2022!

Today’s Fxshnjunke Spotlight features 23 year old blogger Emily Danielisz residing in Vancouver , Canada who loves to travel and has a strong interest in fashion , music and art . In this interview we talk to her about her starting stages of becoming a blogger , her views on what she blogs about and so much more !

I own two Chilean squirrels named Teddy and Squeaks and can cook Korean food probably better than any other food. I love plants but am not so good at keeping them alive and I think I’m addicted to coffee and coconut water. – Emily

Dasia : What inspired you to start blogging?

Emily : I’ve always had a strong interest in fashion and I wanted to be a part of a community where I could share that passion with other like-minded enthusiasts. Seeing other Instagramers who I really admire have blogs, such as @feralcreature and @thegreylayers, it motivated me to start my own blog and become more involved in that community.

Dasia : How long have you been blogging?

Emily : Not counting the other three blogs or so that I’ve attempted to start in the past? Haha. I started my current blog, Maxx Sera, in August 2015.

Dasia : How did you come up with the name Maxx Sera?

Emily : I changed my name about two or three times before finally deciding that Maxx Sera felt right. One of the names before I think was @ooohhpanda haha. “Maxx” came from a childhood pet that really meant a lot to me (he was also a Chilean squirrel). I had to add the extra “X” because @maxsera was already taken on Instagram and I wanted my name to be consistent across all channels. For “Sera”, I was at an old job one day and was looking through the vinyl we sold and I think “Sera” was part of a band name or album title. Something just put the two together in my head and I was like, yea that sounds good.

Dasia : What do you like documenting the most on Maxx Sera?

Emily : I honestly like writing about anything and everything. I think it’s good to have a mixture of content and topics to keep things fresh and interesting. If I had to choose my top two favourite things to write about though, it would be fashion and travel. Fashion because, I know for me anyway, I love looking for style inspiration and I think it’s quite interesting to browse through people’s blogs and to see the variety and uniqueness of a person’s style and what they have to say about it. Travel, because what’s not interesting about exploring the world? Haha. I love reading about travel because it motivates me to work harder so that one day I can visit those places that I once wished I could go. If you’re passionate about what you write, your readers will like it too. My blog actually started out as just a fashion-focused blog, but I didn’t want to be confined to just one topic. It kind of became on online diary, and honestly, I just want to write about whatever I want to write about.

Dasia : You recently released your home decor business Handmade by Maxx Sera, what motivated you to pursue a business?

Emily : It actually just started out as a hobby. I’ve always been a very artistic person. I grew up drawing and painting and crafting, although I hadn’t done much of anything over the last few years. I missed it. I had seen some beautiful dreamcatchers on Pinterest and it peaked my interest. My sister happened to be doing a Christmas market this past December, so I figured I’d make a few things and sell them. I really enjoyed it and it felt good to create something again, so I decided to continue doing it and open up a little online shop. It’s a hobby business really. Right now, I currently have made dreamcatchers and garland but I have plans to expand in the future. Sort of like with my blog, whatever I feel like creating, I’ll create it and add to the shop.

Dasia : Love your pictures, what do you like about photography?

Emily : Thank you! Like they say, a photo is worth a 1000 words. I think it’s so fascinating because when you take a photo, you are literally capturing a moment in time. I think that’s amazing. It’s interesting to look back on photos of yourself and reflect on that phase in your life and how much you’ve grown as a person.

Dasia : Where are your favorite places to shop?

Emily : Hm, I don’t know if I have any one particular place I like to shop at. I like to keep my options open haha. If I had to choose a few though, currently I think I mostly buy from Aritzia and Oak + Fort, mostly because I like their minimal and timeless style.

Dasia : What are your current winter must haves?

Emily : I’m so obsessed with oversized everything right now, especially sweaters and cardigans. I just want to drown in them haha. Culottes have become my favourite bottoms to wear. I don’t really like feeling constrained by fitted clothing, I like to keep it breezy. I also got really into coats and boots this year.

Dasia : Have you ever heard of Fxshnjunke before? If not, what are your thoughts?

Emily : Yes actually, I’ve seen people I follow tag Fxshnjunke in their photos before. I think it’s awesome that a big part of what you do is put a spotlight on other bloggers and Instagramers!

Dasia : What are some of your goals for 2017?

Oh boy. I have a lot haha. I entered 2017 with a very positive and ambitious drive. I have such a great feeling for this year. It’s the year that I want to do all of things I’ve been wanting to do, go to places I’ve been hoping to go to, learn things I’ve been wanting to learn, get my blog on the right track to where I want it to go… This year is all about change for the better for me. I’m ready to put 110% into everything I do and to spend all of my free time working towards meeting those goals I’ve set for myself. I just want to work hard and hustle and to see just how far I can really go.

Emily : Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

In the next five years, I hope all of my hard work will pay off, or at least start to, and I will be more or less working for myself as a digital nomad. I hope that Maxx Sera will evolve into a brand of its own. I also hope to own my own business one day, probably in the digital marketing, content creating field. But really, I’m just excited to see where life takes me. I’m just going to keep working hard doing the things I love and we’ll see what happens. 🙂

Today’s Fxshnjunke Spotlight features 21 year old fashion blogger from Vancouver, Canada, Sayeh Sharelo. From showcasing her style on IG to creating content on her YouTube channel , Sayeh proves how to be a boss and dress like one too ! In this interview we talk with the fashion slayer herself about she got started and where she sees herself in the near future.

Dasia: Tell me something about yourself ?

Sayeh: I’m a 21 year old fashionista from Canada. Ever since I was 5 years old, I knew this was what I wanted to do. Inspire, create, and teach people my skills. My goal is to have my own clothing line and inspire people daily to chase their dreams.

Dasia: How did you get started blogging?

Sayeh: I started with my Youtube channel, then I just expanded from there creating my fashion Instagram and makeup Instagram.

Dasia: How long have you been blogging ?

Sayeh: I started my Youtube channel a little over 6 years ago. I started it as a hobby in middle school, didn’t have the best equipment, but I didn’t care. I enjoyed creating videos, editing and filming. It really wasn’t about me reaching a certain amount to start making money. I just wanted to inspire people.

Dasia: What do you like most about fashion ?

Sayeh: How unique it can be. You can rock the same outfit as the person beside you, but it’s the vibe and energy you give while you wear the outfit. You have to be able to step outside of your comfort zone and explore different styles.

Dasia: What do people think you do for a living?

Sayeh: People think exactly what it is. I create videos for myself and for sponsors I have. I am a brand promotor, so I constantly am sent clothing items to test out and photograph in.

Dasia: I’ve been following you for a long time and I’m obessed with your style , how would you describe your style ?

Sayeh: Thank you! I would describe my style as versatile. I believe I can wear anything and it’ll still be a dope outfit. That all comes from confidence and not worrying about what people think. If people feel that vibe off of you, they’ll start following the style that you rock.

Dasia: Your shoe game is A1! What are your favorite type of sneakers ? Heels?

Sayeh: My favourite pair of sneakers are definitely any one of the Jordan 11’s. Those sneakers are the ones I have the most of and I keep getting more! My favourite heels are anything that is a high lace up.

Dasia: What are some of your favorite fashion brands ?

Sayeh: LOVE Alexander wang. Balenciaga, Givenchy, Fashion nova.

Dasia: You also have a Youtube Channel, what motivated you to start a channel?

Sayeh: I used to watch this one girl on youtube, she was so energetic, funny, and comfortable. She definitely inspired me to create a channel. Usually thats how it works, even I inspire people to create their own channels, and thats my intentions.

Dasia: How long have you been doing youtube ?

Sayeh: I’ve been doing youtube a little over 6 years.

Dasia: Which kind of videos do you enjoy making ?

Sayeh: Love doing Lookbooks and fashion related videos.

Dasia: Where are some of your favorite places to shop ?

Sayeh: I usually spend most of my time at sneaker shops. Sneaker box, champs, footlocker.

Dasia: What are your current must have fall trends ?

Sayeh: Denim knee high boots, biker jacket, ripped shirts

Dasia: Have you heard of Fxshnjunke before ? If not, what are your thoughts about it ?

Sayeh: I have came across it I believe! I think its a great way to give bloggers a spotlight and introduce them to new people.

Dasia: What are some of your goals for 2017?

Sayeh: Reach 100k on all my social media platforms, work with big brands, meet my followers/subscribers in different cities.

Dasia: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years ?

Sayeh: I see myself becoming very successful on all of my social media platforms, having my own clothing line launched, working with brands to create my own makeup palettes etc.
